Hotel proximity and the walk to the Haram

Every package on this page includes hotels in both Makkah and Madinah, ranging from short shuttle rides to direct Haram-plaza access depending on the specific property. Distance to the Haram is usually the single biggest factor in day-to-day comfort, particularly for Fajr and Isha, so we list it clearly on every package card rather than burying it in the small print.

Visa, ihram and the rites of Umrah

All packages here include full Umrah e-visa processing through the Nusuk platform, arranged on your behalf using your passport and a recent photograph. You do not need to navigate the Saudi visa system yourself, though we are happy to talk you through it if you would prefer to understand each step.

On arrival, you will be guided through entering ihram, performing Tawaf around the Kaaba, Sa'i between Safa and Marwah, and the hair-shaving or trimming that completes your Umrah. First-time pilgrims are paired with a guide for this initial rite; independent worship is entirely your choice afterwards.

Ziyarat and seasonal planning

Guided Ziyarat is included across Makkah and Madinah, covering sites such as Jabal al-Noor, Jabal Thawr, Masjid Quba, the Qiblatain Mosque and Uhud, depending on your specific itinerary. These tours run at a gentle pace with rest stops, suitable for elderly pilgrims and families.

Weather and crowd levels vary significantly by month — Ramadan and school-holiday periods bring the busiest Haram conditions, while quieter months such as late spring and early autumn tend to offer calmer worship and better hotel availability. Family, group and accessibility needs

Connecting rooms, quad-sharing and reduced child fares are available across most packages in this category — flag your group composition early so we can confirm room configurations before booking rather than after. Wheelchair assistance at airports and within the Haram complex can be arranged at no additional agency fee.

Group departures typically include a group leader or accompanying guide, daily orientation, and a single point of contact throughout the trip, which many solo travellers and first-time pilgrims find reassuring.

Deposits, payment plans and ATOL protection

A deposit from £250 per person (higher on premium and luxury packages) secures your booking, with the balance due 45 days before departure. Instalment plans are available on request for pilgrims who prefer to spread the cost over several months.
